Your interior will be designed with well-being and harmony in mind, using natural materials wherever appropriate.

You receive high-quality, handcrafted work. True craftsmanship that will gain value over time. I use artificial intelligence in the process to prepare materials or simple visualisations, but the result of my work is always a 100% original creation that harmonises with you and your space.

Where necessary at each stage of the project, I collaborate with a team of external professionals to ensure a perfect result.

I create authentic spaces that aren’t just beautiful showrooms, but places where you can truly live or work.

Throughout the process, I blend function with emotion: the resulting environment fosters peace, balance, quality of life, and your authenticity.

I don’t have a distinct signature style like most architects, I don’t stick to just one style, and can adapt my approach to your needs.

I’ll see your design through to successful completion: my projects don’t get left in a drawer.

Throughout our collaboration, I’m here for you, whether you need professional advice (including technical), or just a little encouragement.

I manage projects with empathy, calmness, and responsibility - you can count on me.

I have worked as an interior architect in renowned showrooms and contributed to a number of luxury projects for discerning clients.

I view a space as a whole and draw on experience from several disciplines in my work.

How the collaboration works

We get to know each other. I listen to your story, needs, and wishes. We’re not looking for a solution, but a direction.

1. Initial meeting

A concept emerges combining function, aesthetics, and emotion. We work out the layout, and the space begins to take on a clear shape.

2. Design process

We refine the details so the design can be safely implemented. We create the materials needed to bring the project to life: a 3D model, photorealistic visualisations, and technical documentation for production.

3. Visualisation and documentation

I guide you through implementation, communicate with contractors, and oversee quality, continuity, and technical details.

4. Design supervision

We fine-tune the final details. The space becomes a real place to live, exactly as you imagined it.

5. Refinement and finalisation

Lucie Wisniewska

When we started, we were looking for a designer who would be stylistically flexible and able to prioritise our ideas over mainstream trends that didn’t resonate with us. What was decisive for us was the diversity of her work, which we saw in her previous projects. We were captivated by the purity and originality of her designs, which we immediately fell in love with. We would wholeheartedly recommend working with her to anyone who desires a unique, comfortable, and visually exceptional home.

Katerina prepared an interior design for our new home in a light, visually clean style with Art Deco elements, which literally breathed life into our house.

Renata Keletová

I had the opportunity to meet Katerina earlier during projects for my loved ones, and thanks to her signature style, I gradually fulfilled my dream of our own home. Katerina did a wonderful job of capturing the Japandi style we desired. The space feels harmonious and clean, yet remains incredibly cosy and enjoyable for everyday life. I am immensely grateful for our collaboration.

I value Katerina not only as a professional but also as a woman and a wonderful mom, which I believe naturally reflects in her work.

Mr. and Mrs. Kněžínek

Our daughter recommended Katerina to us, and from our very first meeting, she earned our trust with her approach and her ability to understand not only the space but also our tastes and needs. We greatly appreciate that Katerina did not propose radical changes, but instead came up with a sensitive and elegant interior renovation that respected the character of our home. The result is an environment where we feel at ease and that builds on what we were used to: only in a more refined and contemporary form.

After living in our home for more than 20 years, we were looking for a way to renovate the interior and naturally bring it into a more contemporary style.

Ivana Christen

The goal was to create a concept that would be visually consistent, functional for day-to-day operations, and at the same time feasible in different countries and under varying budget constraints.Katerina’s professionalism, expertise, and practical approach to the project were decisive. She is able to combine creative design with practical feasibility, and thinks not just about design but also functionality, costs, and practical implementation. Thanks to this, we were able to complete more than 80 branches across Europe.

As a Swiss company operating throughout Europe, we were looking for a way to unify the design of our offices across individual branches.

Zuzana Machorková a Josef Vrba

We appreciate the logic of the layout, the flow between individual zones, and the thoughtfulness of the details throughout the entire house, from the main living area to the utility spaces and the connection to the garden. We chose Katerina for her ability to design a space as a whole - not just aesthetically, but particularly in terms of layout and functionality. We appreciate her attention to detail, her work with materials, and the fact that her designs have a clear logic and are not just “design pictures.” We are deeply grateful for the creation of the place we now call home.

Thanks to the quality of the design, what was originally intended as a weekend home has turned into a fully-fledged residence where we’ve settled permanently.

Ivana Žídková

But we were faced with a beautiful yet very challenging space where it was hard to even get started. We knew we wanted to blend the old with the new and create a timeless, cosy, functional home, but we just didn’t know how. Katerina helped us create a place we truly love. She has the ability to immediately see life, movement, and atmosphere in an empty space. She was able to grasp our ideas sensitively, creatively, and practically, and bring them to life.

After returning from Prague, we decided to give my grandfather’s old farmhouse a chance instead of building a new house.

The Valenta couple

What was decisive for us was Katerina’s eye for detail and colour, as well as the fact that she doesn’t design interiors based on trends or templates, but truly tailors them to our needs. Above all, working with her gave us confidence and peace of mind. Suddenly, we had a clear direction and knew why we were choosing specific materials, colours, and individual elements. The interior began to function as a whole and make sense. We appreciate her precision, thoroughness, and ability to ask about details that we wouldn’t have thought of ourselves.

Working with Katerina Kersey was one of the best decisions we made when designing the interior of our home.

The references listed are authentic and verified feedback from my clients, to whom I send a request for a reference.

Testimonials

We cannot begin the project without these materials.

Thanks to careful preparation at the start, we’ll save time together, and I’ll be able to present a design that makes sense to you both aesthetically and functionally - and that will hold up over time.

Once you’ve provided the materials, we’ll go over everything together, in person or online, and fine-tune the direction of our collaboration. You don’t need to have everything perfectly figured out; I just need to understand the direction you want to take.

Just a few references will give me an idea of the style, atmosphere, materials, or colour scheme you prefer.

4) 3-5 inspirational images

It is important for me to see views of windows, doors, ceilings, niches, fixtures, and other specific elements of the space that may influence the design.

3) Photos of the space

For both new builds and renovations, I need documents showing the current or planned state of the space. I base my design on the dimensions and documents you provide and consider them binding.

2) A floor plan of the space with dimensions

This will help me understand your needs, lifestyle, priorities, and vision for the final space.

1) A completed questionnaire

At the start of our collaboration, I’ll need the following from you:

For me to create a design for you that truly reflects who you are, I need you to take a moment, before we begin working together, to think about the space, the style, and how you want to feel. Perhaps in an office over a good cup of coffee, or at home with a glass of wine.

Frequently asked questions

Collaboration works best with clients who aren’t just looking for a “nice interior,” but a space where they’ll feel comfortable in the long term. If you want a high-quality design including all documentation and specifications for all trades, and a single person to coordinate the entire project and see it through to a successful conclusion, we’ll be a good fit. We work best with clients who are looking for a partner for the entire process, from design through implementation. It won’t work if you’re looking for the fastest or cheapest solution, a design without dialogue and a subsequent implementation process, or if you don’t want to give the space time to mature.

Before I begin the design, I need you to provide a completed client questionnaire, a floor plan of the space with dimensions, photos of the space, and 3–5 inspirational images that will give me an idea of the style, atmosphere, and materials you’re looking for. These materials are essential for a high-quality design, and without them, it’s not possible to start the project.

You can find more information in the section What we can’t do without.

Before our first meeting, whether online, at your place, or at my studio, I’ll send you a questionnaire to help me better understand your space, needs, lifestyle, or business operations. This will ensure our meeting is as productive as possible and focused on what matters most. To fully grasp your space and vision, I’ll ask you to send photos and a floor plan via email or WhatsApp. During the meeting, we’ll then work together to define the direction, atmosphere, and how the space should function - not just aesthetically, but also emotionally and functionally. The first meeting, whether online or at my studio, is free for up to 45 minutes. Meetings at your location are charged at my hourly rate of 2,500 CZK/hour plus travel expenses of 10 CZK/km.

That’s very common. Many of my clients have already gone through a new build or renovation and know more about what they don’t want. Part of our collaboration involves identifying priorities and the overall atmosphere of the space so that it makes sense to you in the long term. Together, we’ll create a concept that makes sense to you both aesthetically and functionally.

Yes, definitely. Inspiration helps me better understand what appeals to you, what materials, atmosphere, or style you’re looking for. However, I never copy inspiration, the final interior is always tailored to you and your space. I most often work with Japandi, Italian contemporary, modern country/rustic, slightly industrial, and Scandinavian styles.

Creating a custom interior design usually takes 3-6 months, depending on the scope of the project, individual phases, and collaboration with the client. Everything depends on the time it takes to approve each phase: concept, layout, 3D modelling, 3D visualization, and technical documentation. For truly large-scale projects or extremely busy clients, the design process may take even longer.

The price of a custom interior design typically depends on the scope/size of the project and its structural/stylistic complexity. It starts at 2,800 CZK/m² and is always calculated individually for each specific project in a customised contract proposal. The proposal also includes additional services; see link.

You will receive a complete set of documents from me: floor plan, spatial concept, material selection, 3D model, photorealistic renderings, and technical documentation for implementation.

Yes. We often structure the project to have a clear long-term vision, but the implementation can proceed gradually according to your time or financial constraints. For all projects, however, I stay in the role of design supervision throughout the process and communicate the visual direction and technical details to contractors to ensure the result is exactly as we planned. I charge for project supervision either at a flat rate of 18,000 CZK/month (which is worth it for fast-moving projects) + travel expenses of 10 CZK/km, or hourly at 2,200 CZK/hour + travel expenses.

That’s no problem; you don’t need to be an engineer for us to work together. I’ll guide you through the entire process in a clear and understandable way and help you navigate the individual steps, materials, dependencies, and communication with contractors. I’ll explain everything to you simply and in plain language so you won’t feel stressed and can actually enjoy the creative process.

Yes, that’s my main added value. As part of my design supervision, I communicate with contractors on your behalf, check the sequence of work, and ensure that the final result matches the design and the required quality. You certainly can’t completely step away from the process, as it’s all about collaboration, but it will significantly lighten your load. Ultimately, you approve orders with suppliers, pay them, and, unless you hire a construction supervisor, check on daily progress at the site.

In the process of implementing the approved interior design, I primarily use the services of my suppliers, who have proven their quality over the years. They certainly aren’t the cheapest on the market, but they are reliable, can resolve any issues that arise, and provide excellent additional service. For each trade, I’ll get quotes from 2-3 recommended contractors, and you can decide who to choose based on your preferences, budget, and personal connection. In exceptional cases, we can agree to use some of your contacts.

I don’t primarily handle rough construction (masonry) work. However, I can provide recommendations if needed.

Yes. Open communication is an important part of our collaboration. To keep the process clear and efficient for both of us, send me your questions ideally once a week via email or WhatsApp. As part of the Expert Support for a Full Month service, I’ll respond to them within 48 hours.

That’s a completely natural part of the process. The design isn’t created unilaterally, but gradually in collaboration with you. Communication is open and honest throughout so that together we can find a solution you feel truly comfortable with. During the preparation phase, we can change anything; once the design is approved, only minor adjustments are possible, as the conceptual framework is already set, and I will incorporate major changes at an hourly rate of 1,800 CZK/hour.

I always maintain discretion in our collaboration and build on mutual trust. Therefore, the space will never appear anywhere without your knowledge. If you prefer complete privacy, I respect that; and if you agree to the publication of the completed project and you have a business, I can combine the sharing with a presentation of your space or brand.

Every project is based on a contract or a clearly defined scope of collaboration. Before we begin working together, you will always know what is included in the service, how the process will proceed, and what the financial terms are.

Yes. Consultations and the entire design process can take place in both Czech and English.

Project portfolio

Every part of the interior was designed with an emphasis on proportions, material continuity and long-term timelessness. The minimalism here is not strict. On the contrary, it allows the quality of the surfaces, precise details and the space itself to stand out.

Praha

Family house Modřany

A space that doesn't feel like a classic rehabilitation clinic. Rather, it feels like a harmonious place with its own rhythm, where aesthetics support function and where every detail was created with the person, their psychological well-being, and the healing process in mind.

Turnov

Rehabilitation center

This is not just a minimalist interior, but a real home — a peaceful haven for a family that, despite their active lives, was looking for a space where they could simply be together.

Turnov

Two-storey apartment

The Variooo Yang House is built on the idea of “quiet luxury” — luxury that is not ostentatious, but is felt in the proportion, detail, light, and overall harmony of the space. The result is a home that feels calm, confident, and timeless — just like its inhabitants.

Líbeznice

Family house Variooo Yang

This project was a search for a balance between past and present, between minimalism and emotion, between architecture and everyday life. The result is a home that retains its original soul, but at the same time offers space for a new chapter of a family.

Poděbrady

Villa from the First Republic era

The entire project was created with an emphasis on emotion, authenticity and long-term timelessness. It was not just about creating a recreational facility, but a place where the family will be happy to return. A space that combines the scent of wood, the warmth of a mountain home and contemporary comfort.

Orlické hory

Modern log cabin

There are spaces that you just visit. And then there are places whose atmosphere you feel the moment you enter. The ambition of this project was not to create an ordinary clinic, but an environment that can harmonize body and mind even before the treatment itself begins.

Poděbrady

CRIMED Rehabilitation Clinic

Just a few minutes from the spa colonnade in Poděbrady there is an interior whose main goal was not only to create an aesthetically clean apartment, but above all a space with an atmosphere of peace, lightness and everyday well-being. A place where, upon returning home, one automatically slows down, takes a breath and leaves the surrounding noise behind the door.

Poděbrady

Well-being apartment

The reconstruction of a 19th-century family farm in the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains was created as a very personal project of two people who traveled a part of the world to finally find their true home right here — in the landscape of their childhood.
