My work is rooted in simplicity, calm, and carefully balanced detail. Each painting emerges as a personal imprint, a reflection of both the person and the space for which it is intended. It is a visual energy that cultivates and elevates the space, giving it a unique identity.
I believe that an interior has a soul that a painting can awaken. It is often the first thing in a room to speak and set its tone.
When I create, time slows down. Intuition guides every stroke, layer, and trace of light. I work with acrylics, oils, pastels, and metallic pigments, which lend the works depth, a subtle shimmer, and timeless elegance.
Every painting is an original, a unique bridge between aesthetics, emotion, and the architecture of space. My works are available as originals and limited editions with a certificate of authenticity.
I’m gradually fulfilling one of my long-term dreams of bringing my work into the world of fashion. I’m working on an original collection that combines fine art with product design for everyday wear, allowing its energy and uniqueness to extend beyond interior space. It is inspired by feminine beauty and allows every woman to literally blossom.

Courses and workshops are currently being developed. You’ll soon find an invitation to the first one on the website.
My academy stems from a natural need to share the experiences and processes that underpin my work in the fields of art and interior design. It is intended for those who wish to understand space, its ergonomics, colours, emotions, and their interconnections, as well as the principles of design and the implementation process itself. These are not quick guides.
It is about conscious creation, working with perception, and a deeper understanding of space. The Academy also includes art courses, workshops, and experiential sessions focused on intuitive creation, working with colour, and inner space. They take place in small groups, in a calm and safe environment.
Conscious education that cannot be rushed
Katerina Kersey Academy
After returning to the Czech Republic, I worked as an interior architect at two renowned Prague showrooms and contributed to a number of luxury projects for a sophisticated clientele. These years served as an intensive school of professionalism, responsibility, and working with people, and naturally led to the launch of my independent design practice in 2020.
Professionalism, responsibility, and working with a demanding clientele
An experience that teaches humility
The fundamental direction of my professional journey crystallised in 2014. After living and travelling abroad, I began studying interior design in Florence. It was here that the Katerina Kersey Design brand, and my personal approach to creating the spaces we live in began to take shape. For me, Florence was not just a school of design. It was a school of perception - of proportions, light, harmony, and timelessness.
The place where my signature approach and brand were born
Florence as a turning point
I later supplemented these foundations with studies in marketing communication, which gave me a strategic and analytical perspective. The ability to perceive the whole, the context, and the connections - not just individual elements, but also their interrelationships.
When creativity meets strategy
Thinking in context
I was born in 1988 in Nymburk. From an early age, I was immersed in creativity and handicrafts, exhibiting a keen eye for detail. My studies at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Turnov instilled in me a deep connection to craftsmanship, materials, and precision. As a future goldsmith, I learned patience, respect for the process, and an appreciation for the value of detail.
The foundations that shape my way of working to this day
Craftsmanship, sensitivity, and respect for detail
Interior designs and works of art don’t stay on paper. They become real spaces and objects that function and evoke emotions.
I bring the design to life
06
I don’t view art as an accessory, but as a natural part of the space. It emerges within its context and helps shape its character.
I connect space and art
05
I approach every project individually. Interiors and paintings are not created according to trends, but according to the person who lives with them.
I create original works
04
Every design is built on a solid foundation of craftsmanship and respect for the process. For me, detail is not supplementary, but a part of the whole.
I work with detail
03
The foundation is trust, empathy, and understanding of who will live in the space. I ask: What story do you want your space or artwork to tell about you?
I start with you
02
Every design and every work of art arises from an understanding of context. I don’t perceive individual elements, but their interrelationships, both in space and in art.
I perceive the whole
01
For me, interior design and art are not just about visual impact. They are interconnected vessels: a sensitive interplay of space, light, materials, and emotion. A process in which function and expression come together.
